At Little Whispers, we are passionate about sharing the stories, experiences, and milestones that shape our community. Our blog highlights the work we do, the values we uphold, and the moments we celebrate together as a team.

This year, our team came together to honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, a day dedicated to remembering the children who never returned home, along with Survivors of residential schools, their families, and their communities. Through this reflection, we acknowledge the painful history of residential schools and the ongoing journey of reconciliation.
We also observed Orange Shirt Day, a meaningful initiative led by Indigenous communities to raise awareness of the intergenerational impacts of residential schools. The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem endured by Indigenous children, and serves as a powerful reminder that Every Child Matters.
Our blog features photos of our team participating in these important commemorations, along with updates on events, initiatives, and stories from our community. Stay connected and see more of our work on:

Our Philosophy & Values
At Little Whispers Family Services, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child and family deserves compassionate, respectful, and evidence-informed support. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of care, safety, and professionalism in every interaction. Our guiding values ensure that our practices remain ethical, consistent, and centered around the well-being of the children and families we serve.
Respect & Dignity
We recognize the inherent worth of every child and family. Our team is committed to creating an inclusive, judgment-free environment where each individual is treated with empathy, compassion, and respect. We celebrate diversity and uphold the right of every person to be heard, valued, and supported.
Strength & Courage
We believe in the resilience and potential that exists within every family. Through encouragement, empowerment, and trauma-informed practice, we help families build confidence and develop the tools needed to overcome challenges and thrive.
Safety First
The safety and well-being of children are our highest priorities. All caregivers and staff complete mandatory background checks, ongoing training, and supervision to ensure services are delivered in accordance with provincial standards, licensing regulations, and best practices in child welfare and family support.
Partnership
We believe that meaningful outcomes are achieved through collaboration. Our team works in partnership with parents, guardians, therapists, social workers, and community resources to create coordinated, individualized plans of care that best support each child’s unique needs.
Consistency & Compassion
We provide reliable, high-quality care grounded in empathy, patience, and professionalism. Our goal is to foster stable, nurturing environments where children feel secure, valued, and supported in their growth and development.
